The Art Camp Kids and Families Love!
Our fun and enriching summer camps are designed for the artist of every level! From the novice painter to the expert clay maker, we work with all campers to inspire creativity, self-confidence, and friendship while introducing them to new art mediums and exciting experiences!
Each week we take a deep dive into a different art idea and give our kids the tools to explore the far reaches of their imagination! Through play-based lessons, our campers will work with ceramics, painting, textiles, creative storytelling - and more!
Our camp days are broken up with indoor time where much of our artmaking activities happen, and outdoor-action time! We play games such as kick-ball, capture the flag, tag, frisbee - not to mention some outdoor relaxation time as well!

Camp Dates: June 16 - August 22, 2026
Location: 4707 SE Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97215 (our “Shire” location) or 4011 SE Belmont Street, Portland, OR 97215 (our “Peacock” location)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00a - 3:00p
Drop-off : Anytime between 8:15a - 9:00a
Pick-up: Anytime between 2:00p - 3:00p
Ages: K-5
Do you offer camp for Pre-K?: Sure do! Check out Portland Preschool of the Arts HERE!
Cost: $300/week
Outdoor Time: Yes, everyday! (Weather permitting).
What is the difference between the two locations?: We have expanded this year to accommodate more families looking for affordable summer camp options for their K-5 campers. Both locations will have the same themes/curriculum but rotate on different schedules. Check out the schedules/themes below!

WEEK 1: Threads & Trends WEEK
June 15 - June 19, 2026
Get your needle and threads out, it’s Sewing & Fashion Week! This week is all about sewing clothing, patches, purses, pockets, and more! We’ll learn the basic stitches as we patch, mend, and craft our very own wearable creations. Campers will also partake in one-on-one lessons at the sewing machine throughout the week, learning how to stitch, hem, and shape clothing and accessories that will be on display at our End of the Week Fashion Show! In the words of Tim Gunn… designers, make it work!
WEEK 2: ARTISTS & ALLSTARS
June 22 - June 26, 2026
Get ready for Sports Week where artists take the field with their paintbrushes in one hand and basketballs in the other! Blending our love of kickball, soccer, dance and more with our talents in sketching and sculpting, we’ll run, jump, block and create art that reflects our own love of the game. At the end of the week, campers will participate in an all camp Color Relay Race - being active has never been this colorful!
WEEK 3: HANDS ON CLAY
July 6 - 10, 2026
Time to seize the clay! During Clay Week we will learn all about the wonderful world of that messy, malleable art material - clay! Using various clay mediums, campers will enjoy creating hand-built pottery, sculptures, 3D art, and even jewelry. This is the perfect class for those creative kids who just love to get a bit messy with their art or want to bring their 2D ideas to life!
WEEK 4: GAMEMAKERS STUDIO
July 13 - 17, 2026
Calling tabletop gamers! It’s Board Game Week, where imagination reigns and you create the rules! Design your own board games, craft your own DnD map, and invent wild challenges that you and your friends can play. Roll the dice, spin the wheel, and watch your ideas come to life—because creating games has never been this fun!
WEEK 5: THE ART OF THE DOODLE
July 20 - July 24, 2026
This week is for all the young artists who can’t put down their sketchbooks—or are ready to jump into the magical world of Drawing Week! We’ll make our own sketchbooks from scratch, then fill them with portraits, landscapes, and still lifes that show off our creativity. From pencils to ink, charcoal to pastels, we’ll explore a rainbow of drawing tools while having a blast bringing our ideas to life!
WEEK 6: FROM MONET TO MODERN
July 27 - July 31, 2026
Get ready to dive into the colorful world of Painting Week! This week, we’ll splash, mix, and layer with watercolors, acrylics, tempera, and gouache to create everything from portraits and landscapes to abstract masterpieces. We’ll experiment with color, practice making ideas pop off the page, and bring our imaginations to life. On the final day, campers will become curators and host their very own art gallery, showing off all the amazing work they’ve made!
WEEK 7: STEAM WEEK
August 3 - 7, 2026
Welcome to STEAM Week, where science, technology, engineering, art, and math collide in the most creative ways! This week, campers will tinker, build, experiment, and invent— the perfect camp for left-brain kiddos who have an passion for creating. From designing cool contraptions to creating colorful projects that spark curiosity, every day is hands-on fun and “aha!” moments galore!
WEEK 8: PORTLAND RENN FAIRE WEEK
August 10 - 14, 2026
Step into Renaissance Faire Week, where knights, dragons, witches, and elves come to life! This week, campers become bold entrepreneurs as Renn Faire vendors - crafting goods, designing booths, and talking all things mystical and magical. By the end of the week, we’ll host our very own Renaissance Faire, where imagination leads the way and every camper shares their wares with their fellow lords and ladies of the Portland Realm!
WEEK 9: GLOW CRAZY WEEK
August 17 - 21, 2026
This week, we’re turning up the brightness—it’s Neon Week! Campers will paint, sculpt, and build with glowing, eye-popping colors to create art that’s bold, wild, and totally fun. Get ready to let your imagination shine, make a little mess, and see what crazy, colorful creations you can dream up!
